Every once and awhile it’s good to look back at history and see all of the hard work that was done to create what people enjoy today. Back then, our family would have bus loads of blueberry pickers come in from New York City and Philadelphia to pick DiMeo blueberries at our New Jersey blueberry farms. Many of the people back then were the Italian immigrants and even some of the Irish, but they worked hard. They were paid .2 cents per blueberry pint picked back then. Here are some of the original tickets from 100 years ago that were issued to DiMeo blueberry pickers when they walked up to the truck in the blueberry field with the crate full of freshly picked blueberries. US Soccer Club Girls Team Picks DiMeo Blueberries “Best Tasting Blueberries”

When they first pulled up to our blueberry farm, it was pouring raining, but they said they did not mind the rain. They heard about our DiMeo blueberry farm and wanted to taste our blueberries. Members of the US Club Soccer girls team had so much fun picking  blueberries at our new pick your own blueberry farms which hosted teenage soccer players from all across the country, their first New Jersey blueberry picking experience was a great one, and they agreed “New Jersey has the best tasting blueberries” it was a pleasure to host them.
