GROWING BLUEBERRIES WITH GREAT PASSION
You should wake up every morning and love what you do for a living. At DiMeo Farms & Blueberry Plants Nursery Dlr., we certainly love what we do. Selling better tasting blueberries and BIG Bearing-Size Blueberry Bushes direct to the public, all across America. One thing that many DiMeo’s do, is work hard, well into their 80s and 90s. Joseph DiMeo lived until he was almost 101 years old. His aunt Concetta also lived to 101, and her sister Nancy DiMeo (greay-grandmom DiMeo) lived until 98 years old. Most of them worked well into their 90s and they never retired. Here is 83 year-old, third generation DiMeo blueberry farmer M. DiMeo, Sr. (top left, wearing John Deere hat) who insisted on checking almost every single blueberry pint as the filled pints fly out of the “hopper” to get labeled by the blueberry packing machine, co-owned by A. DiMeo at Wharton packing house. He has so much energy for his age. Must be because he ate healthy blueberries for all those years.
A GOOD SEASON FOR NEW JERSEY BLUEBERRIES
The DiMeo family has many various farms and different generations of DiMeo farmers that still work hard to continue to grow the family legacy of growing blueberries, started by great-grandop DiMeo over 100 years ago. Below is third generation DiMeo blueberry farmer Anthony DiMeo Jr. (the much youngest cousin of M. DiMeo, Sr., shown above) shows off fresh blueberries from his blueberry farm in Hammonton, New Jersey as his workers ready the newly harvested fruit in BerryMate non-nesting plastic blueberry picking lugs, the preferred blueberry lug of the entire DiMeo family. When you buy blueberries plants from DiMeo Farms, we can connect you with some of our contacts in the blueberry industry who can get you better pricing on all our farm supplies.
DIMEO FAMILY’S LONG, HEALTHY LONGEVITY WITH BLUEBERRIES
If you want to have great longevity like the DiMeo’s and live well into your 90s, you need to eat more DiMeo blueberries because Anthony DiMeo, Sr.’s mother, Nancy DiMeo lived until 98 years old, her sister Concetta lived to 101 years old and his brother, Farmer Joseph DiMeo lived to almost 101 years old. Here’s a nice video of the entire DiMeo family singing happy birthday to this amazing man who was raised on the DiMeo family farms in New Jersey. He loved picking blueberries every Summer and he really kept everyones attention every time he told one of his stories, which were always memorable. Like many members of the DiMeo family, Farmer Joseph DiMeo worked well into his 90s and like other members of the family, they don’t believe in retiring. Many of the DiMeo’s will tell you that if you “keep working” it will keep you more active and that, along with eating healthy locally grown fruits and vegetables are one of the greatest secrets to living longer!

CONTINUING THE DIMEO FAMILY BLUEBERRY GROWING LEGACY
Our DiMeo family legacy continues with a new fourth generation of blueberry farmers who realize that consumers want to “know their food” and “know their farmer” as well ask know where their food comes from. Today, with food coming from all over the world, we have no idea how it has been treated, thus, consumers are now buying food locally and learning how to grow blueberries at home. Below is Anthony DiMeo III who is one of the members of the fourth generation of DiMeo’s who“carry the DiMeo family torch” that has been passed on from previous generations of DiMeo blueberry farmers in Hammonton, New Jersey,
